Uncovering Truth

After 22 years, the Right to Information Act (RIT) got parliamentary sign-off. The act will now give the public access to information from government institution, which were inaccessible before. Transparency International needed to create awareness and educate the public on this important act and how to use it. Our campaign idea was inspired by a combination of media censorship and the public’s natural curiosity to know more about controversial news. The campaign censored and distorted key information on print, digital and radio about controversial news with a payoff asking the public to find out the details at Transparency.lk. Here detailed education in all three languages were presented to the public. The campaign won ‘Best in Show’ at the Sabre Asia Pacific PR awards and was judged 6th best PR campaign in the world for the outstanding results it delivered.

Vote Scam

Manthri.lk wanted to educate voters not to be scammed by false promises made by political parties and to vote intelligently and objectively. Our idea was inspired by a more commonly known scam in the country: imposters posing as street beggars soliciting donations. Using this common phenomena, we dressed actors to pose as beggars at key intersections. When the public obliged with donations, these actors revealed they have been scammed and to visit mantri.lk to avoid being scammed again. The day’s events was captured on film and uploaded on the website which reached a record viewership, shares and engagement on social media.

Achieving 110%

CIMA wanted to change the perception of it being seen relevant only for financial professionals and position themselves instead as an overall professional qualification. To achieve CIMAs goal, we designed “Hundred and Ten Percent” – CIMA’s first virtual career festival to encourage professionals to go beyond 100 percent in their careers. Spanning 7 days, the festival invited and brought together international and local business leaders from different industries to show the impact a CIMA qualification has had on building careers in a wide range of industries. The influential business leaders became mentors to the participating professionals. The event gave a record participation and enrolment subsequently for CIMA.

Nourishing Families

To place Fonterra Brands Lanka at the heart of a National conversation with key stakeholders, a timely Industry forum was planned and designed, for the first time in the country, to bring stakeholders together to ignite a conversation on local Dairy development. The forum led by Fonterra, engaged multiple industry and government stakeholders to discuss the challenges faced by the industry and actively find solutions, through global best practices and local insights. It created widescale media visibility for the company and an opportunity to enter into a private-public partnership with government institutions to drive greater development in the industry.

Largest Marketplace

PatPat.lk wanted to revamp its positioning and infuse more traction for its marketplace website. Our primary tool was a film resurfacing a popular old song, produced to be an earworm for the audience. With a well-known local comedian to carry the message forward, the film was launched in major TV stations and digital platforms. The specially produced song was used as an asset for social media planforms like TikTok for engagement featuring 20 social influencers, mimicking a dance challenge performed by the main actor in the film. The multiplatform campaign drew reach, attention and traffic to PatPat.lk and overachieved anticipated results.
